1. This Website acts as an online venue to allow Bentley Auction Organisations to auction items and to provide You with the opportunity to bid for and buy such property. 

2.  By accessing or using the Services You agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions. 

3.  We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Amendments will take effect when posted on the Website. The date of the Terms and Conditions are stated at the top of the Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions current at the start of a Transaction will apply until that Transaction is completed. Your continued use of the Services after any amendments to the Terms and Conditions shall be deemed to constitute your binding acceptance of such amendments. 

4. We reserve the right to modify or withdraw this Website (or any part) at any time without notice. 

 

5.1 You may not use our site and services if you are under the age of 18 or you are not able to form legally binding contracts 

5.2 Bids will be placed by clicking on the item you wish to bid on and entering the following details into the box provided: 

 

Your Bid will not show until you have confirmed it. 

In order to confirm your bid you will receive a confirmation email to your chosen email address, where you can authorise your bid by clicking on the link provided within the email. (check junk mail folders if the confirmation email does not appear in your inbox). 

Upon authorisation of your bid you have entered into a legally binding contract which means if you are the highest bidder at the close of the auction you agree to pay the bid amount in full within 5 days. 

5.3 All auctions will be conducted in pounds sterling ("GB£"). You are responsible for ensuring that You have sufficient funds to cover the cost of Your bid and make payment in accordance with the applicable payment method. 

5.4 Any bid that you make via this Website constitutes a legal offer to buy the item from Bentley Motors. You may not retract a bid. 

5.5 Bentley Motors are entitled to set applicable minimum bids or reserve requirements and are entitled to change these during the auction period. 

5.6 By bidding for an item you agree to be bound by any conditions of sale included in the item's description on the Website. You cannot commit to buy an item without paying, or bid with no serious intention of buying. Each bid is a binding contract. 

5.7 Any bid you make will remain open for the time period specified on the Website. We reserve the right to automatically extend this fixed time. This Website does not support the practice known as "sniping" where bidders place bids within the final few minutes of an auction and do not allow other bidders time to respond. 

5.8 The winning bid in any auction will be the highest bid to be registered that exceeds the reserve price and meets the conditions that are specific to that auction. 

5.9 If you bid for an item via the Website, You acknowledge and agree that if You have placed the highest bid which is at or above the reserve price and Bentley Motors has confirmed acceptance of your bid, You have entered into a legally binding contract to buy the item from Bentley Motors. 

5.10 Bentley Motors have full discretion to refuse to accept your bid or withdraw any lot for whatever reason at any time. 

5.11 The auction will end at 12pm (GMT) on Monday 10th October. However Bentley Motors reserve the right to cancel or stop the auction at any time. 

5.12 If you are the winning bidder you will be contacted by Bentley Motors to confirm the amount of the successful bid, payment method details and details for You to arrange for collection of the items from Bentley Motors or your preferred dealership. 

5.13 If for whatever reason there is a problem with your payment of any items, then Bentley Motors will be entitled in their discretion to offer the items to the next highest bidder, to re-auction the items or dispose of the items by any other means. 

 

6.1 Payment for items will be made directly to the Princes Trust by cheque or BACs payment. 

6.2 If you are a successful bidder you will be contacted via email and asked how you wish to receive and pay for your item (BACs or Cheque). If you select the delivery option, the delivery cost will be calculated and added onto your bid amount.  

6.3 Once you have confirmed your delivery and payment option you will be emailed with: 

6.4 Your item will not be dispatched until full payment has been cleared by the Princes Trust 

6.5 VAT is not applicable to any of the items as you will be paying the charity directly which is tax exempt. However the final bid amount will be exclusive of delivery or collection costs. 

6.6 Payment needs to be made in full within 5 days of the end of the auction. 

 

7.1 When a buyer wins an item, they're obliged to complete the purchase by sending full payment to the seller. 

7. 2 If a buyer doesn't pay within 5 days, then the next highest bidder will be contacted and offered the item. 

7.3 If you've placed a winning bid in a listing, you've committed to purchasing that item. If you don't pay for it, even if you've changed your mind, you are breaching the unpaid item policy 

 

8.1  Details relating to collection of items will be sent to You upon acknowledgement of your successful bid. 

9.3  There are 2 options for receiving your item: 

9.3 i. Collect from Bentley Motors Head Office in Crewe at your own expense upon payment of cleared funds to The Bentley Bespoke Auction Just Giving Page. 

9.3 ii. Select to have your item delivered to your preferred Bentley Dealership or chosen postal address. The delivery costs vary for this option depending on the item you have purchased and which dealership/postal address you wish for the item to be shipped to. 

9.4 Delivery costs are not inclusive of your final bid amount. The winning bidder must supply the delivery address at the end of the auction and will have the final delivery cost emailed to them, which will then be added onto their final bid amount. 

9.4 Any delivery costs featured on the website are estimates and are NOT the final delivery cost. In order to get a definitive delivery cost for the item you are bidding on you will have to email bespoke.auction@bentley.co.uk with the name of the item and the chosen Bentley Dealership or postal address. 

9.4 If the item is to be shipped outside of the UK customs charges are an additional cost which will be paid for by the winning bidder. 

 

10.1 Bentley Motors will not under any circumstances accept the return of collected or delivered items. 

10.2 You are responsible for inspecting any items at the time of collection to ensure that they match the items described on the Website.
